Your company recognizes that you are its most valuable asset and wants you to help you take better care of yourself. Participating in the Heidary Health wellness program can help you create a strong foundation for health and wellness in your life. We provide blood screening and health assessments to identify if your test results are outside of optimal reference ranges, which can place you at higher risk for developing conditions such as heart disease and diabetes.

Early detection and preventative measures allows you to mitigate or eliminate the health risk factors that can lead to many chronic illnesses.

Follow the Heidary Health process. You will get your login information in an email, allowing you to register by logging in to your private online account. You will need to complete your online Health Risk Assessment and attend your blood collection appointment at your workplace. Once processed, you will be given access to your personal health report. Your report is delivered privately and securely through your personal online account on our website. You will receive a detailed and easy to understand breakdown of the tests you had completed as well as recommendations for improving your health based on our findings. Your company may also choose to participate in our Company Wellness Seminars, which you can voluntarily attend.

You will have the option to upgrade your health report with a Vitality or Executive add-on package, if your health report doesn't already include all of the screenings we provide. Our screenings cover heart disease, stroke, diabetes, inflammation, thyroid function, hormone levels, food intolerance, and cancer. Please contact us to discuss available upgrade options.

  1. UPGRADE YOUR HEALTH REPORT

    Depending on the health report option that your employer has selected on your behalf, you may be able to upgrade, if you wish. For instance, if your employer purchased the Individual Health Report, you could upgrade to the Vitality or Executive Health Report for a fee. Being given this opportunity is valuable as your employer will have already subsidized the administration and collection appointment costs. This is your chance to gain all of the health answers you need!

  2. COMPLETE YOUR ONLINE HEALTH RISK ASSESSMENT

    You'll receive an email inviting you to register by logging into your account. All of the information needed to log in will be in your email. After logging into your account and entering the required personal information, you can begin your online Health Risk Assessment. Your assessment will take approximately 20 – 30 minutes. A completed Health Risk Assessment is a requirement for your collection appointment.

  3. ATTEND YOUR PRE-SCHEDULED COLLECTION APPOINTMENT

    For your convenience, your blood collection appointment will be pre-scheduled and take place at your work. Our partner, MedAxio will come to your office at a pre-arranged time to provide a private and professional experience.

  4. GET ANSWERS

    Your blood work will be processed by Dynacare Laboratory and your assessments will be ready for you to review approximately 5 – 10 business days after your blood collection appointment. Once your results are ready, you will be notified by email with instructions on logging into your personal online account to view your health report. Your report will include both findings and recommendations on how to improve your health.

  5. PARTICIPATE IN YOUR COMPANY HEALTH SEMINARS

    Our Company Health Seminars are available to your company and can be set up throughout the year to help keep you motivated with your wellness goals. Our seminars cover weight management, diet and nutrition, stress management, fitness and exercise, and company morale.

Our Health Risk Assessment is an online physical consisting of a health questionnaire. The information you provide allows us to accurately analyze your health risks when we are reviewing your blood work and biometrics. It is important that you answer all questions honestly so that we can provide you with the most accurate assessment of your state of wellness and identify your health risks. Some questions are optional, and are clearly marked as such. However, the more questions you answer, the more thorough we can be in our analysis.

A number of questions are asked to determine lifestyle factors and other health related information. Some information you may want to collect prior to starting your Health Risk Assessment is a list of your medications with the dosages, your height, and weight.

You will be also be asked to provide your waist measurement and your current blood pressure reading, however we will collect that information during your private blood collection appointment.

Absolutely! If at any time you need to stop, the information you've completed will be saved. When convenient, you can return to the place you left off by signing back into your account and clicking on the Get Started button. However, once you've completed the Health Risk Assessment your answers will be locked in and you will no longer be able to make any changes. And remember, you need to finish your Health Risk Assessment before you can attend your blood collection and biometric readings appointment.

Once you finish your Health Risk Assessment, we can generate and send out your lab requisition form to our partner MedAxio. Without this form our partner, MedAxio will not be able to collect your blood and take your biometric readings. But don't worry, we take care of this crucial step for you! All you have to do is complete your Health Risk Assessment form and then show up to your pre-scheduled appointment.

Heidary Health works with MedAxio Insurance Medical Services. We have partnered with MedAxio to provide you with the convenience and privacy of having your blood drawn, blood pressure and other biometric measurements privately taken at your workplace. All of the blood work will be processed by one of the leading laboratories in Canada, Dynacare Laboratory.

We work with your company to book times for a MedAxio representative to come to your workplace. During these pre-scheduled times, MedAxio will collect your blood samples and complete your biometrics. The biometrics are non-invasive and include a blood pressure reading and abdominal circumference measurement. Please check with your HR department for booking details.

Pre-booked collection dates with MedAxio cannot be cancelled or changed. However, your company may have additional dates and times still available that would allow you to move your appointment. Please check with your HR department for booking details.

In order to accurately interpret your results, you will be asked to fast before your appointment. It is recommended that you fast (no food, including chewing gum or drinks other than plain water) for a minimum of 12 hours prior to having your blood collected. For example, if your MedAxio appointment is scheduled for 11am, you should only be consuming water from 11pm the night before. If you do not fast correctly or for the appropriate amount of time, it may affect your test results. Please remember that it is very important to stay well hydrated during fasting.

Fasting means not eating or drinking anything for 12 hours prior to having your blood drawn. The only exceptions to this is water and prescribed medications. It is important to stay hydrated with plain unflavoured water, even in the fasting state. It is also easier for the technician to draw blood on clients who are well hydrated. Please continue to take any prescribed medications you normally would.

You should not stop taking prescribed medication unless advised to do so by the healthcare professional responsible for your care. Continue to take your prescribed medications as you normally would.

The Dynacare laboratory personnel diligently monitor the accuracy and precision of each test. Although each test has its own performance measures and appropriate uses, laboratory tests are designed to be as precise, accurate, specific, and as sensitive as possible. Integral to all Dynacare operations is their extensive Quality Management System, which ensures they meet all stringent regulatory requirements. If you have fasted for the appropriate amount of time before your blood collection, the tests should be accurate.

All tests results are highly confidential. Heidary Health takes all reasonable precautions to safeguard your Personal Information, whether the information is kept electronically or otherwise. This involves ensuring that the only people who view your Personal Information are those who have a need to do so, and only where necessary and appropriate.

Heidary Health will use anonymous aggregated data of all participant test results to provide a report on what health concerns need more attention within your workplace. Your health report will be ready within 5 – 10 business days from the date of your blood collection appointment.

Once your lab work has been processed and your health report has been created, we will send you an email to notify you that your health report is ready. You will be able to access, download and print your health report from your Heidary Health online account.

If your health report shows that you have results outside what is considered to be the normal range, you can share your lab results with your current health care provider for guidance. Our Wellness Network is also available to you. We can connect you to our network of healthcare professionals to help you get informed consultations and further investigate your results.
